Saint John Toastmasters Monday October 6 2014 This weeks meeting featured three speeches. Two were Icebreakers, the first speeches delivered by new members where he or she introduces himself or herself to the club in four to six minutes. One of these speakers was born in southern India, and one in Ukraine. One speech focused on use of props and that was on the topic of how the brain processes electrical impulses to manage bodily functions. All received feedback on what they did well and suggestions for improvement. The impromptu session was broadly on the theme of harvesting; opportunities, deer, various autumn activities etc. This always provides a simple opportunity to address the group on a topic you haven't rehearsed. Two additional guests attended both of whom showed interest in joining. We have six new members since the first of September. And room for more.
